An avid hiker and nature lover, the Ambassador garnered a better understanding of Switzerland’s natural flora and fauna at the Swiss National Park, one of Europe’s oldest national parks. Park Director Heinrich Haller explained the variety of vegetation and animals in the park while on a hike to the Alp Stabelchod.

A trip to the park’s new visitor center in Zernez provided an interactive overview of the park’s goal to provide a sanctuary in which nature is protected against all interference.
