Ambassador and Mrs. Beyer welcomed Governor and Mrs. Nathan Deal to the Embassy Residence on July 24 for a dinner and reception in support of the State of Georgia’s ambitious investment-promotion goals. Accompanying Governor and Mrs. Deal were key members of Georgia’s economic development team, all keen to promote the state as a rewarding destination for investment.The Embassy also invited dozens of Swiss business leaders for the event. Governor Deal spent several days in Switzerland as part of his multi-country European tour, visiting several Swiss companies and speaking with the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce in Zürich, as well.  Governor Deal’s visit helps highlight Switzerland’s status as one of the top sources of foreign direct investment into the United States.
