On September 26, 2011, Ambassador and Mrs. Beyer hosted a farewell reception in honor of retiring SCO Donald Businger. Donald Businger served the last 3 1/2 years as Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Bern, concluding 41 years of service at the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Executive Office of the President and the Foreign Service.
The event was attended by 31 guests from the Swiss government and business community as well as officials from the Embassy with whom SCO Donald Businger worked closely during his assignment in Switzerland.
