Ambassador and Mrs. Beyer with representatives from the Swiss chapter of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW)

Ambassador and Mrs. Beyer meet with representatives of the Swiss chapter of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.  IPPNW-Switzerland President Claudio Knüsli briefed the Beyers on the IPPNW's latest initiatives, and Professor Andreas Nidecker provided an overview of the IPPNW's plans for hosting the IPPNW's 2010 World Congress in Basel.  Ambassador Beyer and Mrs. Beyer discussed the importance of nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation in President Obama's agenda.
