Rice delivers opening remarks at the World Economic Forum

Zurich/Davos -- Ambassador Peter R. Coneway greets Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice upon her arrival at Zurich. During her day visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Rice met with the Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey to discuss the strong U.S.-Swiss bilateral relationship, Kosovo, the Middle East peace process, and Afghanistan.

Following her meeting with Calmy-Rey, Rice attended bilateral meetings with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. Prior to delivering the keynote address to the World Economic Forum, Secretary Rice met with the President of the Swiss Confederation Pascal Couchepin.  More on the World economic forum
