11 January 2007 -- Bern Stadtpolizei Stern Team Honored at Ambassador’s Residence

Bern -- On January 11, Ambassador Peter Coneway welcomed members of the Bern Stadtpolizei Stern Team to his residence. In April 2006, the Bern team participated in a special tactical training program hosted by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Miami, Florida.  The Ambassador presented the team with DHS Training Certificates. The Bern Stadtpolizei Stern Team is responsible for high-risk tactical deployments, dignitary protection details, and first response to terror-related incidents in Bern.
