Ambassador Beyer, Goodwill Ambassador Brinker and Mrs. Beyer in Zurich

This year, for the first time, Switzerland participated in Ambassador Brinker's International Race for the Cure to spread cancer awareness and ways to detect it early.

Ambassador Brinker conducted a worldwide tour promoting the heralded cancer mitigation program.  President Obama awarded Ambassador Brinker the United States Presidential Medal of Freedom this past summer citing her tireless efforts founding and guiding the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure program.
