Ambassador Donald S. Beyer paid an official visit to the canton of Zurich on August 25, 2011. In Zurich he met with executives of Google and toured their impressive facility.  While there, he discussed the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Switzerland as well as Google’s cutting edge management practices and projects.  Ambassador Beyer also met with the Cantonal government for an informal discussion followed by lunch.  The talks included topics such as the economic and historical development of Zurich, the role of urbanization, agriculture, education, and infrastructure.  Lastly, the Ambassador visited the Swiss National Museum where he was provided with an overview of how the Swiss Confederation has evolved over time.
